Which do you guys think is the best matrix movie? 1/2/3?

I personally like the second one due to the electric twins. Thought the
effects where brilliant. Although the first has to come a close second.
The last was abit of a disappointment.

The first one anywhere is always (or mostly) a masterpiece.

I think the first one had something important and serious to say, agree
or like it or not.

The other two were....well...Matrix2 did look really cool with Trinity
riding the bike and all. But somehow the point of view had changed.
By the third movie the programs and even the Matrix itself were no
longer evil. In fact maybe the Matrix was good since you could do much
cooler stuff there than in the real world. Oh well....just my opinion.

I consider 2&3 the same movie, since they were filmed together and were only
divided by six months to maximize profitability. (Just the same, I consider
all three parts of the LOTR trilogy one gigantic movie split into three
parts to maximize profit and minimalize time constraints.)

That said, I go back and forth on whether I consider the original or the
sequel to be better. I think the original has the edge when it comes to the
idea, the innovation. But I prefer the sequel (Reloaded+Revolutions) for its
expansion of the idea and fleshing out of the story. Some people hate
Revolutions, but I love it. I have studied computers and philosophy for many
years, and the combination of the two was absolutely fascinating, and
despite what so many critics seem to think, I think Revolutions was
masterfully done.

But if I have to choose a favorite two-hour segment, I'd rank them this way:
Reloaded, then Revolutions, then Matrix.

Just keep in mind that they are all VERY close, and higher on my favorites
list than any other movies I've seen to this point.

Then again, the latter two did focus entirely too much on looking good
rather than sticking to the point(s). So I've gotta give the first one some
extra points for style.
